Is Axe throwing safe ?

You betcha, BUT we like to say “If you play dumb games, you get dumb prizes.”
If you follow our guidelines, listen to our coaches, and use your brain you will be juuust fine.

What’s the Age Limit ?

For axe throwing we don’t recommend younger than 10 yrs old, BUT we have seen kids as young as 6 stick the target. The two biggest problems we see with young ones under 10 is they lack the FOCUS to maintain safety throughout the entire session, & more often then not they are not quite strong enough to stick the target.

What Should I wear ?

Athletic clothes you can move & throw easily/comfortably in, as well as bend down & pick an axe up off the ground.
Also be sure to dress in easily changeable layers as our space can get warm or cool very quickly.
Close toed & comfortable shoes to protect your toes & do a lot of walking in.

Is Alcohol Allowed ?

Surprisingly enough, yes! However, DO NOT show up intoxicated,
(we reserve the right to turn anyone away for safety reasons)
Don’t Bring: hard liquors such as rum, vodka, whiskey, gin, tequila,
Bring: drinks like beer, wine, ciders, malt beverages (Truly’s, Mike’s, etc)

What Should I Expect During My Session ?

30 min or less: Learn how to throw 2 handed and possibly get competitive & play a game.
45min - 90min: Learn how to throw 2 handed, learn how to throw 1 handed & get yo competition on!
Coaches will be around/available to make sure you stick during your session, give you tips, help you out,
but will not be a part of your group the entire session, allowing parties to enjoy one another fully.

Do We Take Trades for Axe Throwing?

You betcha we are certainly open to all types of trades,
if you have something you think we may want or need don’t hesitate to reach out
to us via email or message us on facebook or instagram (see links below).
The worst we could say is no, but we may just say yes.

What Type of Wood Is it?/How Long Do Our Targets Last?

We use poplar and cottonwood boards for our targets, and spray them down with water/anti-mold mixture
which makes sticking the target as easy as a hot knife into butter. Because of this our targets tend to last
waaaaaay longer than pine, or douglas fir and usually lasts anywhere from 5 to 10 sessions. To make sure we are
doing our part to preserve the environment we tend to flip and reuse our boards until they are completely thrashed.
Once our boards are beyond our quality standards, we put them outside our garage door for you to take
to use FOR FREE on your home targets or burn in your fireplaces or fire pits!
